A candlelight vigil to remember those who have died in Pinellas County from drug- and alcohol-related abuse will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Largo Central Park, 105 Central Park Drive.
The free event, in its second year locally, will be hosted by the Pinellas County chapter of Narcotics Overdose Prevention and Education, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Operation PAR and the LiveFree Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Pinellas County. Organizers expect several hundred people to attend. Vigils are being held by NOPE chapters throughout the nation. For information about the vigil, or to add your story to the memorial wall and video, contact Laurie Serra at (727) 424-6906 or e-mail [email protected].
